Curl Curl to Freshwater
The Curl Curl to Freshwater walk is a scenic coastal path approximately 1.1 km long. Easy and accessible for walkers of all abilities.
It offers uninterrupted ocean views along an almost flat route that is mostly paved or timber-decked, with some gentle stairs and a couple of resting benches. This is a perfect short walk for sunrise,
sunset or even whale-watching (from May to November).
Directions
- The walk begins above the South Curl Curl ocean pool and follows a timber-decked path to just before Freshwater Headland.
- From there, a footpath along Lumsdaine Drive leads to a carpark and Freshwater lookout (point A in the picture below), which provides spectacular views across to Manly Beach.
- Just to the left of the lookout, a path descends to the rock platform below. This path winds around the headland to Freshwater Rockpool,
then continues past the far end of the pool until it reaches the sands of Freshwater Beach.
